Xanthan Gum - Food Grade

Xanthan Gum is a food-grade ingredient that is used as a thickener and stabiliser in lotions.  It is added in the water phase of the emulsion, at a minimum rate of 0.1% and up to 1%. 

Usage:

Use at 0.1% in water phase.  It is best to first disperse it into Glycerine and then add the mix to water, while blending at high shear (with your stick blender).  It is not compatible with cationic emulsifiers like BTMS.

I bought the 250g food-grade xanthan gum to use in my skincare formulations, and it’s been excellent—it thickens gels and serums smoothly without clumping and gives a nice, stable texture. A little goes a long way, and it's perfect for natural, DIY skincare recipes.

I didn’t do enough research about this product and I blame myself for it, I didn’t wear a mask 😷 it got me flu. My products is perfect though, safety first hey

Glad your product came up tops. So sorry to hear about the nose irritation. It’s a best practise to wear masks for any powdered ingredients as the can be irritating to the nasal passage! Thanks for the reminder!
